I have a Nortel Phone System, what can I do?
On January 14, 2009, Nortel filed for protection from creditors, in the United States under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code
How to get my system replaced:
At FCC Communications, Inc. we have installed and Serviced all Nortel/Norstar Telephone systems. Do you have a Nortel phone system in your facility, don’t worry Avaya has the answer. Depending on what you have: BCM 400, BCM 50, Norstar, whichever one you have we can help. Avaya has taken up where Nortel/Norstar left off, they have purchased many of the patents and can even re-use some of the older Norstar phones on the new Avaya IP Office. In most cases it is an easy installation to replace the old system.
Can I go to VOIP?
The short answer is YES; the long answer is, we need to evaluate your current wiring infrastructure to see if your facility’s cabling can support it. In most cases it will if you already have computers in locations where the phones need to be. Usually if your cabling is older, only a few locations will require new cabling to support the new V
OIP phone sets. You may however move your incoming and outbound lines to VOIP/SIP type lines and possibly save money. The added bonus for SIP lines is a host of features that may be added, which will make company communications much easier.
How much does it cost to replace the your aging Nortel System?
Depending on the size of your system and the features that you need, it is very affordable to replace your old system, we will access your needs and get you the best price in the industry. We have financing available if that is a good fit for you.
